What do you do when your office is SO freezing and you have no control over the AC?

I HATE air conditioning! I believe in dehumidifiers, but the air in most office buildings does NOT have to be 62 degrees! What do you do to keep warm in your frigid office if your boss refuses to open a window to cool off?What do you do when your office is SO freezing and you have no control over the AC?

My church is the same way.


If you can't ask your boss to raise the temperature , then the best course of action would be to simply dress warmly in layers so that when you go outside and it's hot then you just remove the necessary articles and go on your way.

It almost sounds like your AC runs on a humidistat instead of thermostat. Takes into account humidity instead of temp. I would bring in a sweater and leave it on your chair. I do that.
I told them my arms and hands were getting numb so they had to buy me a heater. Small little fan heater that I put under my desk. It was envied by all my coworkers so much that it got stolen.
Were a jacket and cover the air conditioner with anything. :)
Bring a sweater to work with you. It's really the only thing you can do.
Buy a small heater to keep under your desk. I do it all the time.
Make a statement and wear eskimo wear to work.
i think YOU need cooling off...bring an extra sweater...cashmere!

Hug your boss.if you are of the same sex buy an electric sweater.
Go outside and break the A/C unit, and claim it wasn't me.
