My angel fish has no control over his fins - as when he swims he lays on his side & swims in circles - ideas?

I noticed he was the weaker one in the tank - I have a total of 10 in a 55 gallon. Then he started laying on his side when he was swimming and now he just keeps turning in circles. I have moved him to my 5 gallon - so he alone, but I wanted to try to nurse him back to health.My angel fish has no control over his fins - as when he swims he lays on his side %26amp; swims in circles - ideas?
What are your water test results?





Depending on the size of them you may be a bit overstocked, you maybe weren't but as they've grown they may be overloading the system, increased Ammonia will tell the story there.





It could be that the Angel has become weakened and stressed and would appear to have contracted a swim bladder disorder which could be as a result of an injury, or a bacterial infection; best thing you could do would be to isolate it as you have and keep the water parameters pristine.My angel fish has no control over his fins - as when he swims he lays on his side %26amp; swims in circles - ideas?
Sounds like he is on his way to fishy heaven. There is nothing you can do but hope he gets better.
check the water first of all in teh 55 gallon you dont want to llose anymore fish. but as for nursing him back to health .. well i think he's going tords the light. you culd talk to your local fish dealer. there is some stuff that will help.
The most likely thing is that he has swim bladder. Swim bladders are the organs that keep the fish upright, they control the fishes buoyancy, its kind of like a hot balloon (when it inflates it goes up, and when it deflates the fish goes down). It can be caused by constipation or bacterial infections and their aren't many ways to treat it. Sorry but I don't he's gonna make it
