Have you ever had sex with just a condom (no birth control) and got pregnant?

How affective is the condom with no birth control?

What are ways to prevent it from breaking?Have you ever had sex with just a condom (no birth control) and got pregnant?
The condom can be quite effective if used properly to a T.

Ways to use it properly are:

-Squeeze the tip as you put it on so no air is inside.

-Make sure you're putting it on the right way! And don't flip it over if you accidentally find yourself trying to put it on the wrong way. Throw that one out and get another one.

-Make sure your fingernails don't touch it. You could nick it slightly and never even know.

-Don't use a condom that's anywhere near, or after it's expiration date.

-Only use water-based lubricants with a condom. Vaseline or anything else oil-based can eat through it.

-Don't ever put 2 condoms on thinking it will work twice as well. The friction can tear them both and you'll be in trouble!

If you do all that, it's unlikely you'll get pregnant, but remember even if you are extremely careful and do everything perfectly the chance is still there!

Good luck,

Condoms are about 94-97% effective when used correctly.

To prevent it from breaking, make sure you don't put it on too tight, and that it's on correctly.

But sometimes, mistakes happen. So it's always good to have a backup.
There is no actual way of preventing a condom from breaking. It is a rare situation though. Just make sure that you are using it properly.

A condom with no with control will prevent pregnancy if used properly.

Condoms alone are about high 80's to about 98% percent effective.

Good ways to prevent it from breaking are:

-use water based lubes only, and make sure there is enough

-don't double wrap

ALSO, you might want to hold the condom during sex to make sure it doesn't slip off:/
