When i hit the start button there is no control panel how do I get to that?

I'm going to assume you're using XP...if you're at work, chances are your network administrator removed it. In that case you're pretty much out of luck.

If this is your own system, try double-clicking ';My Computer'; and you may see it there. You may also be able to right-click the taskbar (the bar at the bottom where the icons for running programs go -- make sure you're right-clicking where nothing else is), choose properties, start menu, customize, and check the box for control panel. When i hit the start button there is no control panel how do I get to that?
check this:

right click the start menu

properties

click customize on the start menu tab

advance

then on the start menu items make that control panel is display as a link or a menu...When i hit the start button there is no control panel how do I get to that?
START / SETTINGS / CONTROL PANEL

TMD
If you have XP, you should be able to open ';My Computer'; or in Vista ';Computer';. In the address bar where it says ';My Computer'; delete ';My Computer'; and type ';Control Panel';. Like magic you are in the control panel.

Also you should see it on the left after opening my computer in the 2nd drop down menu.

Good luck!

Is this your personal PC or a work/school PC?

If it is a work/school PC or in general not your PC... It has been disabled to keep you out. Unless you can find a hiden back door or some glitch, you're not going to get to the control panel in this case!
is this at school or at home if its at school go on your home computer create a shortcut to the control panel and put it on your flash drive, then plug in your zip drive and paste the shortcut on your desktop then you can access the control panel
