How to deal with the fact that ones knowledge will always be limited and that one has little or no control....

over his own life and his surroundings? How to deal with the fact that ones knowledge will always be limited and that one has little or no control....
How to deal with the fact that ones knowledge will always be limited and that one has little or no control over his own life and his surroundings?

I think the more that we know, the more we wish we didn't know. It is not advantagous at all times to know a lot of stuff that other people may not know yet, depending on what it is and how bad you want them to learn or if you really care or not. So I say having too much knowledge is just as dangerous as having too little at times, unless of course you don't mind the ignorance of others. How to deal with the fact that ones knowledge will always be limited and that one has little or no control....
But we do. Sure, outside events effect us at different intervals in our lives, but when using a little common sense and ingenuity we can use seemingly unfortunate circumstances to out advantage. You have more control than you realize.
It confirms the ancient knowledge that man is not to reach for the tree of knowledge lest death enter his being. Man is a creature that was designed to live by faith, not knowledge. By one man the lack of faith in God's word brought his demise. But by another man, it was faith even unto death that brought restoration. That God is amazing. Who would have thought of a better plan to destoy those that want to be god by way of their own knowledge, but bring to life those that wish to live in faith by God's light?
Grand question.... defines life's struggle!!

Life is indeed all about tackling own inadequacies and surrounding uncertainties. Basically, we must learn to strive for the best while being prepared to accept even the worst.

Acceptance is the key and it is entangled in our ego... it is our ego that does not allow us to accept... we have to learn to conquer our own ego.... we have to remind ourselves of the twin truth that even as we are so small in the context of this huge universe with its vast timespan, we are at the same time vested with fairly commensurate capabilities to exercise our free will and take responsibility for the consequences..... in other words that we may be small but not zero.
We do actually have total control over our own behaviour, words and actions. We even have control over how we react to or respond to the circumstances that occur over which we have no control. When we practice better self control suddenly we find that we are actually more in control than we thought.
Who says we have no control over life and surroundings? Every human being has the power of discrimination within that makes it the most powerful manifest being in the solar system. It is only as a human being one gains enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)... What more can the lusting human form desire!

We need to manifest our destiny. This is possible if we keep our wanton desires and greed for materialistic riches under wraps. By controlling the five senses and the mind... every human being finally transcends the ephemeral barriers that are and gains absolute control of life. Gaining control of life is not difficult if we have a burning desire in life. Most human beings on Mother Earth fail to manifest destiny as they never form a goal in life.

Without a goal... life is like a rudderless boat going round and round in the ocean. Born a human being having a goal in life is journey half completed. We reached the form of human being after crossing the ocean of 7.3 million manifestations as insect life, plant life and animal life. Human being is the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle. It is only as a human being one finally reaches the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation!

Every soul atman in the Cosmos has a goal that is unique in itself! No two goals in the Cosmos are similar as no two pieces of a puzzle are alike. Finding the goal in life is slightly difficult but not impossible. Following the path of truthfulness... If we hear the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman within... we can definitely find the goal of our life. Our soul atman always guides us on the right path.

Practicing patience, persistence and perseverance... we can slowly but steadily follow a path of life that is dear to our heart. Indulging in a profession of our choice makes life livable. It is one amongst us who became Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed. Mahavira always stated that every human being has the seed of becoming a Mahavira (unlike Christianity where Jesus Christ is treated as the only son of God). A little control is enough. A sailing boat is a tiny speck on the ocean, but it can catch the wind and take you where you choose.
