Why do I have to ask for forgiveness of something I have no control over?

Why do we have to ask for forgiveness? Why can't God just forgive us?





Here are the Ten Commandments:





I am the Lord your God


You shall have no other gods before me


You shall not make for yourself an idol


You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God


Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy


Honor your father and mother


You shall not murder


You shall not commit adultery


You shall not steal


You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor


You shall not covet (desire) your neighbor's wife


You shall not covet (desire) anything that belongs to your neighbor





Follow these commandments and you'll be blessed. Don't worry about things you have no control over.Why do I have to ask for forgiveness of something I have no control over?
This subject is difficult to understand because people are very proud and mostly believe they are right in their own mind.


As Christ said ,forgive them Lord for they know not what they do.


We must forgive ourselves and others. Because we need to be forgiven by others it is best we reach out and forgive them. Forgiveness is a spiritual quality just like mercy and kindness are.,
There is not one person in this world who has ABSOLUTELY no control over his or her actions, except in special cases. Asking for forgiveness should not be an act done only once a day or once a week or once a month or only when the person ';knows'; that what he or she did was wrong. It should be a normal routine. Whenever you have free time, go and repent or ask for forgiveness. We are humans, there is not a single day that passes without us sinning in some way. However, because we are humans, we deny that. We try to justify what we do in every possible way so as not to see ourselves as people who make mistakes. We have the tendency to be too proud and stubborn to admit that we are wrong or to see that we may be wrong. We are all going to die one day, that is a fact that nobody can deny. What happens after that? Is it really the end? The end of everything? If so, what was this life for? To go and have fun, to do what we want? Of course not. That is only the easy way out. We WILL be judged for what we did, we WILL be rewarded for the good we did and we WILL be punished for the wrong we did. Keep in mind that God is All-Merciful and All-Forgiving, but also keep in mind that He punishes people for the wrong they did. It's true that we may believe that we have no control over what we are doing, but that is only to some extent. Would you like to believe that you are a person easily controlled by your desires, or by your ';bad'; side. That is, would you like to be a weak person instead of admit that you are a human who can make mistakes? That is your decision to make. But there is a god Who will help us and guide us. The only thing we have to do is listen to Him. You can deny this all you want, but I know there's a part of you that is saying right now, ';Woah, what am I saying?'; Ask for forgiveness from your Lord, it's very simple. Just picture it, how hard would it be to say to the One Who created you, to the One Who made you, to the One Who gave you everything you ever needed, that you are sorry. That you do believe that what you did was wrong and that you regret it. Swallow your pride and help yourself. God is not benefitting anything from your sorry, only you are.

The fifteen promises of Mary to Christians who recite the rosary:


1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.

8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death, they shall participate in the merits of the saints in Paradise.


9. I shall deliver from Purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.


10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.


11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.


12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.


13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire Celestial Court during their life and at the hour of death.


14. All who recite the Rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only Son, Jesus Christ.


15. Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

Psh, Christianity just wants you on knees and tipping your pockets into their collection plates, they don't care why you do it, just do it.
do you not have control? Interesting,for one that has no control needs professional help before entering society............you must be accountable for your actions(REMORSE) or you may commit a series of crimes
What do you not have control over. You are in control of your words, behavior and actually what you see and hear, which will control your thoughts.Don't take the weazel way out, '; I couldn't help myself';.
How do you have no control over sins you've committed? Do you even understand what sins are?
Forget and forgiveness is humble way of leading life succesfully
Asking for forgiveness is what sinners do.
If your god can't help you to control yourself then maybe you should find another god.
cause you have no control.
You don't.
