and it's just our destiny?
Have you made any conscious or unconscious decisions that you think has changed or life ? and what were they?Really unsure how to ask this question but do you think that you make what your life is or we have no control?
We have some control, we can decide to make ourselves more happy, but if we were religious we might choose to make others happy on our own expense.
So, we really are controlled by our families, societies and beliefs, that's why we don't have or we rather don't give ourselves full control, otherwise life will be a jungle.Really unsure how to ask this question but do you think that you make what your life is or we have no control?
Other people can, and frequently do, have an absolutely devastating impact upon people's lives. Lies can end all hope of virtually everything; believe me I know! People can also have an impact upon their own lives, eg I just reduced my monthly expenses by 50%, which has made things much better. So, while you do have much control over your own life, others can completely ruin it as well. Or, I suppose, make it far better.
To believe that ';you'; have total control over your life is simply wrong.
At 50 years old I can safely say that you control your own destiny. The old saying that you can do anything you want in life it true. The problem is what you have to give up in exchange.
A large portion of the population is lazy and will let life come to them instead of the other way around. It's really up to you as how your life turns out. But then again there are those random things like disease, accidents, and other people working against you that have a influence also. On the other hand every reasonable goal that I've set in my life I've achieved. Sometimes it took a lot of work and effort.
I strongly Believe everything happens for a reason, things go bad so you can appreciate the things that are going right, people change so you can learn to let them go and bad things happen to open your eyes to the good things you didnt pay attention to before.
I dont belive things are all planed out for us and we have no control on our life, but everything always happens for a reason.
I see that we live in a world where everything is purpose for a certain destination, where everything is real, our dreams, aspiration and fears are all real, even when they might appear to unrealistic, irrational and unfounded things do have their effect or impact upon our mind, and therefore upon our situation in life. In this realistic world our efforts, our aims and objective, our endeavours, plans and preparations for our plans are also real, and so are our apprehensions, risks, threats, opportunities, gains, loses and hope, they all are real; our will and determination, and our ability to change our lives, to find our way through, to make choices and consider options for the most suitable one have their realistic affect on the way our life eventually come to be.
You question is about the freedom of human will versus fate, or destiny. I believe in human fate, as in destiny, but I also believe in human freewill, for without freewill there would be no individual human beings, people and their persons, their unique purposes, qualities, peculiarities, and propensities of choice. There would be no sense of responsibility, merits of a character, notions of achievement or sacrifice and worthiness of deeds of goodness, as all this would be meaningless. I therefore believe that we live in a world that is in place for some purpose and within that purpose we are free to decide as how we are going to contribute or participate, how the journey of a life is going to be 鈥?life is what we make of it, but what life itself is we cannot have a say.
Sometimes ago I watched a wildlife documentary about a mother elephant and her little calf. The documentary was about their journey through the wilderness of Central Africa to reach a waterhole quite some distance away. I saw in fascination the calf flowing in the footsteps of his mother but every now an then he would venture out of the way, on the right or on the left, to pull a shrub, to pluck some dried up branches of a bush, to investigate a little mound of that, but after each of his little excursions he would return to the path to follow in his mother footsteps. Now, in my understanding, the path of the elephant mother is like the paths of destiny in our life, that we have no control of changing, and the free activities of the calf are the act of our free will. We might get rewarded every now and then, but we might also put ourselves, and out journey into danger, but the safety is in seeking out and following as what could be the best and safest path for us in life.
I think it's all about destiny, thing have to take place subject to a pattern. We can improve our destiny only by praying, the power of a prayer must not ever be underestimated , it does miracles! So, even when we think we've made the choice, it was actually the destiny choosing for us!
Its a mixture. I believe (I hope) that if somethings needed by you and itll be good for you, itll keep coming until you take it. Also if somethings bad for you, sometimes itll be denied you repeatedly inexplicably.
But we have free will and we can choose not to do things that are presented to us. If we continually refuse though, and dont learn, we'll eventually be forced, we'll have to face it.
Those are the really big things though. Generally you have control.
I think by making all the derisions we make, even just small ones like whether to stand up and walk across a room or whether to read a particular book, all influence and change the pattern of ours -and the people around us- life's.
So it CoUld all be planned still, but i dont think so, its all happening as we live, there is no ending that we know of yet...
I have made several wrong decisions during my life just as I have made many really good ones so yes as a thinking person you do indeed have control, the trick is to TAKE CONTROL.
they say that u cant change ur destiny.. but i dont think thats true...cuz if we leave everything to destiny and dont make any decisions we will never be able to do anything at all...so u shape ur own life according to ur decision....fate can be changed by will
At least choice controls our destiny...our choice determine what happened to us....if the two or more in relationship...one choose also influence the other...we make lot of choice, we have so many kinds of choices including life %26amp; death
Choices are the tools you can use to shape your success. Evidently, you can ruin your future.
depends what life throws at you...people say life is what you make of it but i tink its more about how you deal with what comes your way.
You only have control over yourself.
We make it all up as we go.
Life just is, we decide how we will chose to judge the things that happen around us.
Love and blessings Don
No I think that its all about the Limited chooses that we have and how we feel about the chooses that we have that leads us how we live are life
See Jansenism: All is Predestined.
Fate chooses your destination, but You choose how you get there.
I DO WHAT I WANT SO I CHANGE MY OWN FUTURE. destiny is all BS
yes were all puppets
