I constantly worry about everything and it is driving me nuts. I am addicted to worry. I will worry if I don't have anything to worry about. Whenever I start to feel happy and am not worry about anything, I hear this voice inside of me saying ';What are you so happy about? Life is not perfect enough for you to stop worrying.'; Does anyone else beside me feel this way?Do u constantly obsess over things you have absolutely no control over?
No I control the things I obsess about .Do u constantly obsess over things you have absolutely no control over?
No, I learned a long time ago that worrying didn't do any thing to change any thing it only made matter's worse. I've learned that worrying about things that you CAN'T change or over something you don't have any control is a illusion that only makes life more difficult. I've decided worrying for me only makes things more difficult, it's on of the thing that my therapist and I talk about all the time.
I was told that is post traumatic disorder. you are not alone Angel, this is a great question to me!It sounds like you may have post traumatic disorder. in a lot of cases if untreated,it will make life at a standstill 4 you, lets say 5yrs. from now ,would you have accomplished any goals if you only wanted a crises to happen to divert you from what you really wanted to do??in otherwords,Life will give enough pains @heartaches to you,or me,that in waiting for them to happen, the years will go by so fast one is left wondering what did i do to be in this position in life???? I also think that you should talk to a family doctor about PMDD. GOOD LUCK do not let yourself get caught up in problems Angel,Be a Problem SOLVER,then move on to the next chapter slowly,in life. ADD@ADHD.PEOPLE DO THAT TOO OKAY.
I know exactly what you mean...but sometimes you just have to realize when you can change something, and realize when it's beyond your control...you have to let go and move on. Worrying can be really productive, it can help you keep things in perspective and achieve goals, but pointless worry will do nothing.
Try to relax, stay postive, things never stay the same, they get better, so doooon't worry!
I go through the same thing, though to a slightly lesser degree. It helps me to pray and to read or listen to music. Observing nature helps too. I also engage myself in some task or hobby that requires all of my concentration, like solving math problems or a crossword, to get my mind off things. Having other people around helps too.
i do all the time.
